About the Job
At our location in Munich, our team is looking for a Protocol Stack Engineer with a BS or MS in Computer Science or related engineering. At United Micro you have the opportunity to work with a talented team of engineers and develop cutting-edge technologies in the cellular modem industry.
In this role, you will be responsible for analysing external and internal requirements, aligning with interface partners, ensuring compliance with 3GPP requirements. You will also provide specifications, design, implement, and verify protocol stack software.
We are looking for an experienced team player with good communication and leadership skills, who is enjoying the collaboration in an international environment.
Your Responsibilities
As Protocol Stack Engineer you will
- Analyse external and internal requirements with respect to their impact on the access stratum
- Align with the interface partners on interfaces of the cellular protocol stack with higher and lower layers, provide corresponding documentation and implementation.
- Develop cellular protocol stack software for 4G and 5G NAS/AS/L2
- Specify state machines and design procedures for control plane or data plane
- Implement reliable and maintainable protocol stack software
- Contribute to the unit test environment, create test specifications, execute unit tests
